Description
National Jewish Health is a leading non-sectarian, non-profit academic medical center with a 118-year history as the foremost respiratory hospital in the nation. Since its founding in 1899, the institution has concentrated on addressing significant public health challenges. Our wellness program continues this legacy by tackling tobacco use, the leading cause of preventable illness and death. Effective tobacco cessation necessitates lasting changes in unhealthy behavior patterns, and National Jewish Health has been at the forefront of promoting healthy behavior change since the mid-1990s with the launch of one of the first disease management programs for asthma. Annually, we assist tens of thousands nationwide through our QuitLogix tobacco cessation program, with all proceeds reinvested into medical and scientific research at National Jewish Health.
