Description

In the summer of 2010, Fog Creek Software initiated regular internal explorations known as Creek Weeks to develop potential products. By January 2011, a prototype aimed at addressing high-level planning challenges was introduced, named Trellis, leading to full-time development shortly thereafter. After a closed beta, Trello was officially launched at TechCrunch Disrupt in September 2011, along with web and iPhone applications. The team considered various names like Cardvark and Planatee before ultimately choosing Trello.
