MEMA proudly represents over 300 members, including 125 providers of heating oil, propane, biofuels, pellets, electricity, and motor fuels, along with convenience store owners who collectively serve more than 415,000 households in Maine, ensuring nearly 1 million residents stay warm and comfortable. Additionally, MEMA boasts over 175 associate members who supply essential goods and services to Maine's petroleum dealers and their clientele.
Our members play a vital role in the state's economy, owning and operating 70% of Maine's 1,300 convenience stores, through which they distribute over 1 billion gallons of gasoline and diesel fuel annually. Furthermore, they account for more than 90% of all propane sales in Maine each year, solidifying their position as key contributors to the energy landscape of the state
