Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan is a nonprofit corporation and an independent licensee of the Blue Cross and Blue Shield Association, dedicated to serving the people of Michigan. With a mission that has remained unchanged for nearly 70 years, BCBSM aims to provide individuals with the assurance of healthcare when needed. The organization offers health care coverage to everyone, regardless of their circumstances, and ensures that coverage is never dropped due to health reasons. In partnership with the state, BCBSM covers over 32,000 children through MIChild and supports 30 free clinics across the state. Additionally, it contributes more financial resources than any other company to improve health and healthcare in Michigan, and actively advocates for nonprofit health care through the Alliance for Advancing Nonprofit Health Care.
