Description
Food Addiction Reset LLC provides online support for overcoming processed food addiction through the Addiction Reset Community. By helping individuals to put their processed food addiction into remission, a variety of physical, mental, and behavioral issues may also improve. The community is built upon insights from the textbook "Processed Food Addiction: Foundations, Assessment, and Recovery," authored by Joan Ifland, PhD, MBA, FACN, who is the founder of the ARC. Two significant discoveries from the textbook indicate that overeating can be a form of processed food addiction and that overeaters often experience debilitating trauma. This understanding sheds light on why traditional weight-loss and eating disorder programs may fail to address diet-related diseases: they often overlook processed food addiction and trauma. The ARC embraces recovery methods commonly used for severe addictions, including abstinence, long-term compassionate support, and the development of effective life-management skills. Members benefit from 24-hour access to live online expert peer support through video chat, Facebook Groups, daily emails, daily podcasts, a science-based video library, and Private Messenger Groups.
