Description
Gene by Gene, through its division Family Tree DNA, pioneered the commercial application of DNA testing for ancestry and genealogical purposes, previously limited to academic and research settings. This innovation led to its selection by the National Geographic Society and IBM to provide testing for the Genographic Project. Initially, the Arizona Research Labs at The University of Arizona conducted all the testing. In 2006, Gene by Gene established its state-of-the-art Genomics Research Center in Houston, Texas, where it now conducts research and processes over 200 types of DNA tests for a diverse clientele, including individuals, physicians, hospitals, universities, and research institutions.
