Our family, known as HIG, is the culmination of five distinct organizations uniting into a cohesive team, each contributing their unique expertise. The journey began in the late 90s when Center of Insurance joined Houchens. Subsequently, we incorporated Insurance Specialist to enhance our benefits capabilities, followed by Van Meter Insurance in 2006, which provided invaluable resources for competitive growth. In 2007, Curneal Hignite expanded our presence in Elizabethtown, and the century-old Roeding Insurance added significant expertise in the Public Entity sector, boosting our commercial book. From an initial revenue of $35M, we have now surpassed $80M, employing 325 employee/owners and targeting $100M within the next five years. We are proud to have been recognized as the number one Best Place to Work in Kentucky, as well as being named the 31st Largest Insurance Agency in the U.S. and a Best Practice Agency.
